History of Gumpert
gumpert was founded in 2004 by Roland Gumpert. He was having great thoughts about making stunning sports cars. The designing and other works were handled by Marco Vanetta. By 2002, about 30 % of the works were completed on Roland’s dream car. But, Roland knew just the completion of the designs won’t do any good. And there is a lot of miles to travel before finishing the whole car. So, he thought of doing the developmental works after some years. Next he thougt of starting gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur. And it was in the year 2005. This was the the step that made it possible to build the first ever ar of gumpert. The new company is located in Germany.
Then he started the works of his first car model named as Apollo. He got from various universities for the development of Apollo. This way the works were completed and the production of the Apollo cars were stared in the year 2005. Well, he was having plans to produce two prototypes of Apollo.
The Gumpert Apollo cars such as the Apollo sport and Apollo race are only available in few places such as the USA, and European countries. Evolution Motorsports has made a deal with Gumpert in USA and it is concerned with distributing the Apollo cars in the USA. In the near future Gumpert cars would be available in Asis and Australia as well. Gumpert has a lot of such plans which would increase the availability of the Gumpert Apollo cars all over the world.
Well, Gumpert is not planning to produce a lot of cars and decrease the demand of the Apollo cars among the people. So it has planned to launch just 30 cars for the year 2009. And the price would be really high. It would be around 300K Pounds. The specification would be like a 4.2 litre engine with 480 kW. The Apollo cars are really fast and they are actually highly luxurious from inside. The exteriors are also pretty good. So, the serious buyers of Apollo cars have nothing to loss with this deal.
