History of Porsche
Porsche is one of the best manufacturers of luxury cars. Ferdinand Porsche founded this company in the year 1930. At first, this company of Ferdinand Porsche didn’t build any cars with it’s own name. It was there just as a company that did vehicle developmental works and other such works. One of the first works of the company Porsche was making of Volkswagen Beetle. It was the work from the govt of Germany. This was a big project for Porsche at that time, that changed things at Porsche. They designed the car and it was a really stunning work from Porsche which was accepted by people all over the world. This way with just a single project itself, Porsche became famous.
Well, the first car build by Porche with the name Porsche was the Porsche 64. And it was in the year 1939. Many of the parts that were used in this model were the parts which were used in the Volkswagen as well. It was a good idea to use the same parts since the other car was a real success and hence there is no fault in using the same part for this model.
The years during the second world war turned out to be one of the best time for Porsche. They got more and more orders for building cars like the Volkswagen. These were actually the military cars. About 60,000 cars were produced for the govt by Porsche at that time. This way, the company was with good amount of money from just a single project. In 1945, Ferdinand, lost his post from Volkswagen company which was the chairman’s post and he got arrested as well. At that time his son was in charge of the Porsche and built a new model which was the Porsche 356.
Porsche didn’t faced any type of financial problems like others. Well, in the year 1964, it came with the cool Porsche 550. It is a car with six cylinders. And the project was taken care by Ferdinands grandson. In the year 1990, Porsche made a deal with Toyota so as to learn some of the car production techniques that they didn’t knew. Until 2002, Ferdinand’s grandson was the chairman. He became the chairman of the company in the year 1993. In the year 2002, Porsche came with Porsche Cayenne which became famous all around the world pretty fast. And then in 2004, one of the best cars from Porsche was produced. And it is the Porsche Carrera which costs about 440K USD.
